This page explains what information AI Headshot Generator processes, why it is used, and how it supports the extension and related services.
Overview
AI Headshot Generator processes user-provided and technical data in order to generate headshots, operate the extension, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability. Some data is stored locally in the extension, and some data is transmitted to our backend and supporting service providers.
The current Chrome Web Store version is designed for a free daily usage flow and does not require users to create an account or provide an email address to generate headshots.
What We Collect
When you use the extension, we may collect or process the following categories of data:
- An internal installation identifier (`install_id`) generated for the extension installation.
- An anonymous browser/device fingerprint hash used to apply free usage limits and reduce abuse.
- Photos that you upload for headshot generation.
- Technical request data such as IP address, browser user agent, and extension version.
- Optional uninstall feedback text that you choose to submit.
- Request and job metadata needed to process generations, support troubleshooting, and maintain service reliability.
How We Use This Data
- To generate AI headshots from uploaded photos.
- To manage service access modes, preview limits, and related feature flow.
- To enforce free daily usage limits and reduce repeated abuse of free generation access.
- To troubleshoot failed requests, delivery problems, and runtime issues.
- To protect the service from abuse and repeated misuse.
- To understand uninstall reasons and improve the product.
What We Do Not Collect
In the current free daily version, we do not require or intentionally collect account registration information, email login credentials, payment card details, health information, browsing history, or personal communications.
Where Data Is Stored
Different categories of data are stored in different places:
- Local extension storage: the extension may store local state such as settings, install identifier, selected state, and a locally saved uploaded photo on your device using Chrome extension storage.
- Backend infrastructure: uploaded photos, generation requests, technical request metadata, and uninstall feedback may be transmitted to and stored on our backend systems and database infrastructure.
- Temporary processing storage: uploaded photos and generation outputs may be temporarily stored while requests are being processed and delivered.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share data only with service providers and infrastructure providers that are needed to operate the extension and supporting services.
- Hosting, storage, and database providers used to run our backend.
- AI image processing providers used to generate or deliver headshot results where required for the service to function.
- Service providers involved in debugging, reliability, or abuse prevention where reasonably necessary.
Uploaded photos may be sent to an AI image processing provider through our backend solely to create the requested headshot result. These providers process data for service operation and not for unrelated marketing by us.
Uninstall Feedback
If you submit uninstall feedback, we may store the feedback text together with the installation identifier, browser user agent, IP address, extension version, and the page URL used for submission.
This information is used only to understand why users uninstall the extension and to improve the product experience.
Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, investigate issues, handle support requests, and improve the product.
- Local extension data remains on your device until you remove it, clear extension storage, or uninstall the extension.
- Uploaded photos and related generation data may be retained temporarily for processing, delivery, operational troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
- Operational logs and uninstall feedback may be retained longer where needed for support, reliability, or compliance purposes.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect data used by the extension and related services. However, no method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Your Choices and Requests
You may stop using the extension at any time. Providing uninstall feedback is optional. If you want to contact us about privacy, data handling, or deletion-related requests, use the contact page linked below.
You can delete locally stored extension data by removing the saved photo in extension settings, clearing extension storage, or uninstalling the extension. For backend data deletion or privacy requests, contact us using the email below and include any relevant install identifier if available.
